A Web browser, often just called a “browser,” is the program people use to access the World Wide Web. It interprets HTML code including text, images, hypertext links, Javascript, and Java applets. After rendering the HTML code, the browser displays a nicely formatted page. Some common browsers are Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape Communicator, and Mozilla Firefox.
These are programs a user could use to create, view, edit, resize, compress, create and/or otherwise manipulate their image files. Some of these programs are: Mspaint, GIMP, Adobe Photoshop. Photoshop is regarded as the most advanced image manipulation software on the market and gives the user the highest number of options to use.
Page layout software lets you create text and graphics on what ever paper size is required. You would most commonly use Page Layout software if you wanted to print a document, but they can also be used as presentations and on the web. Pagemaker and Microsoft Word are examples of page layout software. |
